Is my data really local?
Yes. The desktop app is local-first: everything you capture lives in a folder on your machine. Signing in does not move your records to a server — cloud sync is a premium feature you switch on deliberately, and it is off by default.
Do I need an account?
No. The app works without one. An account is free to create and is what carries premium features (sync, AI, workspaces), the monthly AI allowance, and your plan details on this site.
Which platforms are supported?
macOS ships first (Apple Silicon and Intel), with Windows and Linux builds published as they are signed off. The download section always lists the current release.
Is it free?
The desktop app is a free download and a new account is free by default. Sync, AI and workspaces are premium features; your account page shows the plan you are on and, if you are on premium, when the period ends.
Can I sync across devices?
Yes, on premium. Sync is opt-in per feature: with it off the app stays single-device and nothing leaves your machine.
Can I export my data?
The data folder is yours to copy and read directly at any time. A plain-text export of journals and notes is planned.
